The Premier League club confirmed on Wednesday Hiddink as their new manager until the end of the season.
“I think Hiddink is the right choice for Chelsea,” Vialli told Sky Sport Italia.
“I think the experience Hiddink has will help. He has seen many battles during his time and he can speak several languages.
“Also he has coached around the world with Korea and Australia and thus I believe he will be able to manage the group well.
“I think he is right for Chelsea, he has the capacity and personality to manage a group which is not like it used to be under Jose Mourinho.”
