The 29-year-old’s agent, Vicente Fores, admits his client is awaiting a move to Lazio.
“We like Lazio. There are problems, but we will wait for an official offer to be given to Villarreal,” he told radioradio.it.
“I can confirm he is welcome [at Lazio] and that the talks involved a loan with the right of redemption. Villarreal are awaiting an official proposal from Lazio, but it hasn’t arrived yet.
“We are confident [the deal will go through], but we have to wait for the offer to be formalised.”
