Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Chelsea last night was the first victory they have had over one of their direct title rivals for over two years, and Walcott was key, scoring and creating one early in the second half as Arsenal finished the game off.
The winger said: “We can’t dwell on this result. We could be disappointed if we win against Chelsea and then lose at Wigan. All the fans, you could sense the atmosphere, the fans were right up for it, just like the players were and we just didn’t let Chelsea play.”
