The Hammers wanted to take Chelsea’s £50million struggling striker on a one month loan deal.
Sullivan told West Ham Till I Die: “We tried to get Torres from Chelsea.
“If he couldn’t score in the Premier League, he could come along with us for a month. We might fire him up!”
Sullivan also revealed Chelsea’s response: “They just said, “Not at this moment in time”.”
