Scott Parker just recently signed a new long-term deal with the Hammers.
Zola told the East London Advertiser: “There are players that have been very important this season – people like Matthew Upson, Robert Green, Scott Parker and Lucas Neill.
“They are the core of this team and I believe they can be the core of this team for a long time. The club know this and are offering them contracts.
“It is good for stability.
“They are positive players and will help us to build something important. The idea is to make a blend of experienced players and young talented players to mix together and perform.”
