Lots of goals in recent league games

Being inconsistent is not the only thing these two teams have in common of late in their Premier League games. Both teams tend to be involved in big scoring games.

There have been at least two goals scored in West Ham’s last nine top-flight games, with six of their last nine league outings producing over 2.5 goals. The Hammers recent Premier League matches at the London Stadium have been even higher scoring, with six of their last eight home matches producing over 2.5 goals.

The visitors have also been involved in a number of high scoring encounters of late in the top-flight, with four of their last five league matches producing over 2.5 goals. It has been a similar story for the Gunners away games, with nine of their last ten away matches in the top-flight producing over 2.5 goals.

Neither team can defend

The high scoring affairs of late in these two teams league matches is largely down to poor defensive performances. West Ham have kept just one clean sheet in seven league outings, while Arsenal have managed to keep out the opposition just once in 14 top-flight matches.

The Hammers have kept just one clean in their last 12 league matches on home soil. Meanwhile, the Gunners have kept just one clean sheet in 20 away games in the top-flight.

Great potential for the neutral

This clash may not be good for the health of either set of fans of the teams involved. However, the encounter promises to be a great one for the neutral, as it would be highly surprising if this game is not game-filled.

If anybody is looking for a game to back for both teams to score, then the game at the London Stadium looks like a good bet.

Will the West Ham-Arsenal game be the highest scoring game of the weekend in the Premier League?
