Walter Pandiani is the leading scorer in this season’s UEFA Cup competition, but was left out of the Espanyol starting line-up for the final against Sevilla at Hampden Park on Wednesday.
VfL manager Klaus Fuchs said: “He is an interesting player, who we are thinking about.”
Pandiani has one year left of his contract at Espanyol and would cost Wolfsburg around 7 million euros.
