Spurs had a poor start to the season under Juande Ramos.
“I think we are only four points behind Everton, who are close to the top six,” he told the Daily Star Sunday.
“So Sunday is a vital game. There are so many points up for grabs there and I’m sure we can push for a top-six place.
“But, first and foremost, we are at the bottom of the table and must win games.
“Every game you play is a fight. It’s not easy. You have to roll up your sleeves, dig deep and fight, and really start playing, because we know we have quality in the dressing room.”
