Cabella joins the French side on a loan as part of the deal that saw Florian Thauvin join the Magpies.
Cabella will stay on loan until the end of the season and there is an obligation to make the deal permament subject to certain criteria being met.
The 25-year-old failed to make the expected impact at St James’ Park since joining the club from Montpellier last summer.
