Toure’s contract with Barcelona is set to expire in 2012 but the 26-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
“It is true that I came close to joining Arsenal in the past,” Toure told Eurosport.
“Before I signed for Olympiakos I underwent a two-month trial in London.
“It was a positive experience, but Arsene Wenger decided not to follow up his interest.
“I am very happy about how things have turned out, but I think that one day I will play in the Premier League.”
