Brown claims Liverpool skipper gets special treatment from the FA

Gerrard struck Michael Brown with a forearm to the back of the Portsmouth ace’s neck in the second half of Liverpool’s 4-1 win.

Brown said: “If it was me I would have got a three-match ban but maybe the FA think that Rio Ferdinand will not make the World Cup and they need a captain for England.

“Good luck to him if the FA do not want to punish him. It’s clear to see he has caught me but let’s move on.”
