Rooney limped out of the clash between United and Stoke today 13 mintues from the end of the 4-0 win.
Ferguson has confirmed Rooney has aggravated a groin injury that he first suffered against Blackburn last month.
“He has aggravated his groin again,” said Ferguson. “I don’t think it is serious. I think he will be OK for England.”
