Pique has been dubbed ‘the new Hierro’ in Spain, after the youngster have made big impact this season in the La Liga.
A Zaragoza representative said: “They’re very happy in Manchester about how he is developing this season. With the loan, he’s been able to play minutes, build his experience and grow as a player. Everything is going as planned and they value this agreement very highly.”
He added: “We know the fans want him to stay. But it will be difficult and we still must speak to the English club about his situation.”
