The England Under 21 international has apologised for his horror miss that could have earned Swansea a draw against United.
United managed to beat Swansea 0-1 at the Liberty Stadium, after a goal by Javier Hernandez.
“I should have tucked it away,” Sinclair told the Daily Mirror. “It came to me quick and I didn’t get a proper contact on it.
“I should have scored – on any other day I would have put it away, but unfortunately it didn’t happen for me this time.
“Maybe I should have reacted better, but in football you make mistakes and you’ve just got to carry on.”
