Sky Sports reports that Newcastle have had a bid in the region of £300,000 rejected.
Morrison has been linked with a move away from United after failing to agree a new deal.
Morrison’s current contract with United is set to expire in the summer and the club would only be entitled to compensation in the region of £300,000 for development, if the youngster does not sign a contract extension.
