The Sun reports that Vidic will begin pre-season training before his United team-mates return to Carrington.
Vidic has been out of action since damaging cruciate knee ligaments in the Champions League clash with Basel in December.
But the 30-year-old is now set to start on a special programme to improve his core strength, as he is now running without trouble again.
