Owen expects United to benefit from Ronaldo having played at Old Trafford for so long.
He told United’s official website: “If anyone knows how to look after him it will be Manchester United with him having played there for so long.
“And let’s not forget that Manchester United have a lot of good players that Madrid will have to be aware of.”
