Yakubu told evertonTV: “I have scored against them before, they are a quality team with lots of quality players. I like to play in games like that.
“It’s a big game for us and one we don’t want to lose. I hope we get a result.”
He continued: “It will be a good feeling to run out at Goodison.
“In the game at Bolton the way the fans treated me was unbelievable and I hope I will get the same reception at home.
“You want to impress them and I am looking forward to the game.
“They beat us at Goodison last season but this time I hope it can be different. We have learnt a lot from what happened.”
