Jovanovic is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with clubs such as Aston Villa, Atletico Madrid, Roma and Stuttgart.
The Serb’s agent Torsten Weck told calciomercato.it: “I heard about the interest of Roma but I had no direct contact with this club.
“The only contacts I have had are with the Germans and the Spanish club, Valencia, in the first place.
“The player will not go anywhere in January, but will remain until June because Standard Liege have played in the Champions League and therefore Jovanovic couldn’t play for another club in the competition this season.”
