Nolan made a horrific two-footed lunge at the Everton ace and was handed a straight red card.
Anichebe said: “I’ve never felt as much pain in my life — I thought I’d broken my leg. I couldn’t even look down.
“Luckily, I’ve got strong legs but if that was anyone else their leg would have snapped in two.
“I’ve always thought I’d never get injured for a long period and when it happened I thought ‘That’s me, that’s my time’.
“Now it’s not as bad as it was. I’ve pain in my knee and the back of my calf and down my shin, so we’ll see how it is.”
