He said: “There will be no clauses. If I sign a contract for three years but I can move out after one year that is not fair.
“If a player asks for it, then I refuse that kind of clause. You are either committed or not committed. You can say that I want to be at a place for a long term but that if I want to move on, then I can. That is not right.
“If, say, I sign a contract for three years then that is the gamble I take. The people in charge tell me certain things and I believe them. When I sign the contract I know that there could be a takeover. I know that could happen.”
