Arsenal chasing Portsmouth midfielder Kranjcar

The British tabloid claims the 24-year-old is expected to lave Fratton Park at the end of the season, as his contract is set to expire in 2010.

“I’ve got my contract for another year-and-a-half and I’m happy to see it out,” Kranjcar is quoted as saying in The Daily Mail.

“But at the end of the day if I don’t sign a new one the club will probably try to sell me in the summer. We’ve had discussions about a new contract but we’ve put them on hold until the summer.

“The main thing is to keep Portsmouth in the Premier League and we’ll see what it goes on.

“If a bigger club, if a top-four club, or big clubs from Europe come in and want to get me if the price is right of course I would like to go and play Champions League.”
