Arsenal have reportedly joined a number of clubs across Europe in the race for Sporting CP star Goncalo Inacio.

The Gunners are interested in signing the 22-year-old in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

But they face competition as the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are also keen on Inacio.

The highly-rated centre-back signed a new contract with Sporting last year, but the deal includes a release clause valued at €60million.

The Portuguese star has become a key player for Sporting, who expects to get bids for the defender this summer.
