The Portugal international said yesterday: “We want to reach the level of the Champions League, but it is not easy. This is a great club, but it does not have a great team. It is a team that is working hard to be great, but it still is not there, because in the last years they’ve experienced many extra problems, which have affected their performance.
“This is a team that has players of Champions League quality, but they need to work harder, to suffer, and to stop making silly mistakes. We need to show more hunger in training and games.”
