Ballack said: “There is still room for improvement. It will take some time for me to fully integrate, but of course I’m trying my best in every game. It doesn’t matter how many goals I score or whether I’m the best player or not. All that matters is that our team is improving gradually.
“We have enormous potential and we must learn to realise it. Our starts in the Champions League and the Premier League have been OK, but we can play much better football and that’s what we’re aiming for.”
