The Spain international winger is expected to join Manchester United in the near future.
Newspaper reports today also claim Manchester City have joined the race for Pedro, but Enrique is keen to keep the winger at the club.
He said: “We all know the situation Pedro is going through. We want him to stay but it is a difficult decision. At the moment it is has not changed, but it will.
“I understand his situation. He wants to play more, I want him to stay.”
