Bayern Munich have set their sights on VfB Stuttgart’s 27-year-old scoring sensation, Serhou Guirassy.

The highly-rated forward has dazzled in the Bundesliga with 19 goals and two assists in just 17 matches this season.

Guirassy has been linked with Manchester United, Newcastle, and Barcelona, but in the January transfer window the forward chose to remain at Stuttgart until the end of the season.

German media outlet Bild reports that Bayern is ready to activate Guirassy’s release clause, believed to be around €17.5 million, to secure his services before rivals swoop in.

Stuttgart, aware of Bayern’s intention, braces for a bid. The move hinges on whether Guirassy sees his future at Bayern, especially with Harry Kane leading the line as Thomas Tuchel’s preferred lone striker.

Guirassy, whose contract runs until 2026, joined Stuttgart from Rennes in 2022 initially on loan, making his mark as one of the Bundesliga’s most prolific strikers.
