The Telegraph reports that Chelsea have held talks with the Portuguese side about signing Hulk for a reduced fee of €40million.
Porto have up until recently insisted that they would not sell Hulk for less than his €100million release fee.
But Hulk has now asked if he could leave the club and Porto are now prepared to sell the 25-year-old for less this summer.
