The Norwegian side turned down an approach from Chelsea for 18-year-old forward.
Fredrikstad sporting director Morgan Andersen said: “We had to turn down the offer.
“Chelsea wanted him to be in London next week, but we are playing in the Norwegian Cup final that week and we need Tarik there.”
Andersen added: “Fredrikstad is in no way negative to these enquires.
“If he, or other young players, get the same enquiry later we wouldn’t take a opportunity away from them. It’s thrilling for both club and player.”
