The talented 19-year-old, who made his international debut against Spain recently, is currently on loan at Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
Evans told the Belfast Telegraph: “It’s been great over the past two games. It is fantastic to be playing at this level.
“Playing alongside someone like Aaron Hughes is a big help to me and the rest of the defence.
“Performances like those against Spain and Denmark gives everyone a real lift.
“It was a tough night in Copenhagen but we stuck to our task, defended really well and came away with a valuable point.”
