Platt says the aggressive approach has increased since he played in the country, according to the Mirror.
He said: “It has escalated. It was always there and there was always an underlying current of it.
“There is not a great deal of respect for law and order out there in many, many ways in terms of the policing and as a result you do get violence
“But it almost seems the police were actually quite happy to deal with the so-called violence from the Manchester United fans with their own violence.
“All that is going to do is pour petrol on the flames.”
