Former Man Utd keeper signs new Hannover deal

The 22-year-old has signed a new deal that will keep him at Hannover until the summer of 2015.

Zieler joined Hannover from Manchester United last summer and has recently been linked with a move to Schalke.

He told Hannover’s official website: “We are going to feature in the Bundesliga and the Europa League in this new season, although there are severe challenges ahead of the club.

“I am sure I will be able to progress well at Hannover and I am happy to have signed a new deal.”

Hannover general manager Jorg Schmadtke said: “Ron-Robert Zieler has gone through massive progress in the most recent season.

“The new contract agreed now is a sign of how we appreciate this. We had good talks. Ron-Robert is a young goalkeeper with extraordinary talents.”
