Garcia: It would be special to score against United

Garcia announced this weekend on his website, www.icons.com: “I’ve not scored against Man United yet but records are there to be broken.

“As an attacking player my aim is always to get a goal, but I must admit it would be special to score against United. Especially if we win. If I don’t score and we win, I will still be happy.

“We are going to Old Trafford to win, but if we do end up losing our title hopes will not be over. There is still long enough left in the season for us to catch the leaders and overtake them.

“This fixture has big similarities with Barcelona v Real Madrid. I have played in both derbies and the pre-match build-up is very much the same, with the supporters getting fired up for it, and with the same kind of fierce sporting rivalry.

“Spain and England are two very different cultures and countries so it’s impossible to say which is best, but both fixtures are great occasions.”
