Hinkel has one year left on his contract with Celtic and has fallen down the pecking order at the club following the arrival of Cha Du-Ri.
“I don’t know where I will be when the season starts,” said Hinkel.
“Everyone knows the situation. I have one year left on my contract.
“I spoke to the manager about it and I am still here now but I have one year left.
“We will see what happens by the end of the transfer window. I want to stay here but because I have one year left, the club might want to sell me.
“If I don’t go because no-one is interested then I will stay.”
