The Daily Express says Mourinho has been told by Arsenal bosses that not even £40million would be enough to prise the 22-year-old away from the Emirates Stadium.
Mourinho contacted Arsenal just days after the Gunners were knocked out of the Champions League semi-final by Manchester United.
