Jones’ current contract is set to expire at the end of the season and the 25-year-old has been linked with the likes of Newcastle and Everton.
“We had a lot of talks about it over the summer and came to an agreement to put them on hold until Christmas time to allow both myself and the manager to focus solely on the football,” he told Sky Sports.
“I am enjoying my time here at Wolves and have done since joining the club and it would be good if we can get something sorted out.
“At the moment I am just focusing on playing football because there is nothing I can do about it until those talks resume.
“It is out of my mind at the minute, but we will go back into discussion about it at some point, I am sure.”
