Laudrup rubbishes Madrid link

Laudrup’s reputation has rocketed this season after a superb campaign managing Swansea City.

“People ask me – ‘do you have a dream of training a big team?’ and I always say no,” he told AS.

“It is not a dream for me. I start the year with the dream of coachingMadrid or Barcelona, or Manchester United. Then let’s say after eight or nine years I got to achieve that dream.

“I get there, and then at the end of the season I lose the Champions League final, finish second in the League by three points and lose on penalties in the cup final – the club will turn round and say ‘hey Michael, there is no title. We’re going to have to change'”
