Liverpool and Bayern Munich are reportedly among a number of top European clubs keeping an eye on Sao Paulo defender Lucas Beraldo.

The 19-year-old has become a key player for the Brazilian side and helped the club win the Copa do Brasil recently.

Wolves had a bid for the centre-back rejected by Sao Paulo during the summer transfer window, according to 90min.

The report suggests that Liverpool are seeing the defender as a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk.

90min reports that Lyon and Monaco have also sent scouts to Brazil recently to watch the young defender in action.

Lucas Beraldo’s current contract with Sao Paolo is due to expire in 2026.
