A Bolare reports that new Malaga coach Jesualdo Ferreira is keen to strengthen his side ahead of the new season and would be keen to sign Patricio.
The 22-year-old is a product of the Sporting youth academy and made his official debut for the club in November 2006.
Patricio has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
