Fergie told Sky Sports News: “It is difficult to say he goes for a scan next week and hopefully that gives us good results.
“He’s doing all his work in the gymnasium and he is working very hard.
“Fitness-wise he does not have too much to pick up because he had a very good pre-season so we are happy with that.”
