TalkSport reports that United have joined West Ham and Tottenham in the race to sign the 24-year-old defender.
The Hammers and Spurs were interested in signing Maksimovic in January, but the centre-back remain at Torino.
The highly-rated deender is expected to leave the Serie A club this summer, with a number of Europe’s biggest club’s keeping tabs on the former Red Star Belgrade man.
