Crerand believes Rooney is being controlled by his agent, Paul Stretford.
The MUTV pundit said: “If you are happy somewhere why cause all these problems?
“Wayne’s 24, he’s still a kid at heart, maybe mentally as well. Is he being led by people like his agent?
“Sometimes at 24 or 25, you have the mentality of a 15-year-old – but you [should] listen to the manager.
“The manager is very disappointed [with Wayne] and I feel the same way.”
