TalkSport reports that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has sent his chief scout and brother Martin to watch Bangura in action against Elfsborg this weekend.
The 21-year-old joined Solna in October 2010 and has showed stunning form in the Swedish top-flight this season.
Bangura signed a three-year contract when he joined AIK Solna last year.
