Celtic are increasing pressure on the SFA to probe the incident and McDonald. The club insist that manager Neil Lennon was told a lie – that the assistant had alerted McDonald to the fact that he had made an error.
Pressure has now increased after a Hearts official argued that “honesty amongst our match officials remains paramount to the game, those officials that fail that basic character trait should realise that the football pitches of Scotland are no place for them.”
