The 29-year-old has previously hinted that he would like a move to the Premier League.
“I told him [coach Unai Emery] that I thought the best thing for me was to change teams, but that was not possible because the clubs that appeared could not convince Valencia or myself,” Miguel said at a press conference
“Now my way of seeing things has changed, I have spoken with the coach and the club and I have decided to stay and I am happy to be here.”
“If it is something good for me and the club I would have no problems to study it, but now what I want is to continue working to prove to the coach that he can count on me as a first option,” he stated.
“This is my fifth season at the club and it is a pleasure to wear this shirt.”
