Millwall boss disappointed with draw with Preston

But Jackett was happy with the way that his side defended.

He said: “I am frustrated, we got behind the Preston defence on numerous occasions so to come away with no goals is disappointing.

“There were some good saves from their goalkeeper and wayward finishing from ourselves.

“But we didn’t capitalise from the dangerous positions we got into but for the away side it’s a good point.

“We defended well and had numerous chances but we had a couple of nervous moments in the second half.

“Initially, we are frustrated because I thought it was a winning performance today.

“We created, played good one-twos and got behind Preston’s defence on a number of occasions.

“But from Middlesbrough and Preston away you would take four points.

“It was a performance full of heart and we have some big hearts in the dressing room and we move on to our home games.”

Jackett added: “Liam Trotter went off with a hamstring – he was adamant he felt it and had to come off.

“We hope it is not too long because he is a key player for us, but having said that Abdou came on and played well for us.

“He has been out for a while but he made an impression on the game and I’m pleased for him.”
