Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Florian Wirtz is grabbing headlines, with significant attention from major clubs across Europe.

The 20-year-old attacking prodigy, having amassed three goals and four assists in just ten matches this season, is on many teams’ wish lists.

Newcastle United has emerged as a key suitor for the German talent, as reported by Spanish publication SPORT. Their report sheds light on Barcelona’s intrigue towards Wirtz, with the La Liga champions showing keen interest.

However, Barcelona might find themselves financially outmatched, especially since Leverkusen is mulling over a valuation north of £70 million for Wirtz in the upcoming summer. Beyond Barcelona, Bayern Munich has also expressed interest in the young star.

Yet, the competition does not end there. Newcastle could face stiff challenges from Premier League giants Manchester City and Manchester United, all keen on the talented midfielder.

Newcastle have also recently been linked with another Bayer Leverkusen star, with reports suggesting a January move for striker Victor Boniface.
