Reker told Algemeen Dagblad: “We haven’t made any appointments with Larsson or his agent and we haven’t received a signal that Henrik Larsson is interested in strengthening our squad.
“It’s a possibility that we’ll give it a try to sign him in the [near] future, because Larsson is a very interesting player for us. However, it’s up to him to decide whether he’s interested in moving back to Holland.
“He’s very strong on the ball and he’s remarkably fit for a 37-year-old. Hot prospects like Stef Nijland and Nordin Amrabat can learn a lot from a player like him. Larsson’s the type of player who makes a whole team perform better.
“Nevertheless, it’s absolutely not true that he has already signed a deal with us.”
