Redknapp accused Clattenberg of making a howler in the game with Manchester United on Saturday, and the FA are waiting for the referee’s report before deciding whether to take action.
Redknapp’s suggestion that Clattenburg “came up with a story” is the most controversial of his comments, but he has now said
“don’t expect me to come out on the TV anymore – ever – and speak to the press after a game, because I won’t do it. If you want me just to come and talk rubbish and say, ‘No, it was a good decision – I’m quite happy with it’, then don’t bother to get me to come out after a game.”
