Maxi Rodriquez scored a late goal to earn Atletico a 2-2 draw in the game last night, but Resino felt his side deserved even better.
Resino told Marca: “Football is punishing us too much.
“We must commend the team’s effort. Last year we would have scored five in a game like this.
“We had an excellent pre-season, and then suddenly there was a lot of agitation around the club. If we continue playing as we did today, we will get over this.
“The key was not the substitution of Banega, but the fact that we went for the final goal, but it made no difference to us whether we lost 2-1 or 3-1.”
